What are you looking forward to this new year? I am challenging myself to increase and expand my level of creativity. I've always thought of creativity as something that you have along some sort of continuum and that people pretty much stay at the same point throughout their lives. I'm changing my perspective and have resolved to work on increasing creativity, not just in photography, but in other areas as well. I've been reading Flow by Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi which proposes that we can train ourselves to be more creative. This new year I want to be open to seeing beauty not only in the usual places but anywhere and everywhere.

Wow. Could I have your 2009?
I haven't read Flow, but know several folks who have, and they've all raved about it. Perhaps my New Year's Resolution could be by the end of 2009 to have read at least one chapter of it. That seems realistic at the moment...
By the way, what is this image and how was it created? Love it!
If it makes you feel better I didn't finish the book! This photo is of a painting on a random cement wall next to some fields. I just love that someone put this in that particular spot where not many people will see it. Makes it like a secret find.
